Learning Exchange for Network Science

About the CSN and LENS

WWF employs a wealth of scientific expertise around the world. The Conservation Science Network (CSN) connects, supports, and grows this community of dispersed and innovative scientists.

LENS is the web portal developed to help the CSN achieve its mission and vision.

Mission: The WWF Conservation Science Network connects and empowers WWF scientists, strengthening the ties between cutting-edge science, WWF’s vision, conservation policy, and on-the-ground results.

Vision: By 2015, we envision a vibrant global community of WWF scientists solving critical conservation problems, guiding WWF policy and practice, and catalyzing the work of our partners around the world.

The Conservation Science Network (CSN) is a resource for anyone at WWF who is doing or using science. Its aim is to provide services to help WWF staff get their jobs done, and in the process help WWF achieve its conservation goals. We know WWF staff already use any number of online science networks and web portals. LENS aims to complement, not duplicate, them. LENS is targeted to the specific needs of WWF staff and so is restricted to their use.
